Hear Liz read

More poems

Where

the measured towels hang sentinel

wall mounted soap flows for any

hostage out of their postal code

'go sleep' the acred soft bed dictates

adorned in Royal Purple to inflate

the message

the TV set to just audible

how laudable, no other guests

will be perturbed in their reverie

doorless wardrobes reveal life's

essentials, nothing  temperamental

this is a twilight zone, no reckless

mass of history like home

here is non-space, a mix of

everywhere and nowhere

the TV whispers tragedies

witless wisdom soars

relaxing on the bed I munch

Walker's crisps,

old friends die, families love and sap

did I expect perfection?

but hey,  it's here, it's true

for I'm in steely Scunthorpe with you
